>> dominion power is looking into what caused an outage that left hundreds of customers in the dark over night. brianne carter if it is live in alexandria with more. >> i'm at north patrick street. this is an area that is in the dark. the lights are out in the intersection. they are telling people to treat these as a four-way stop. there are a number of lights along north patrick that are out. crews are trying to get the power back on. we know that at the height of all this there were 2000 people without power. that's now down to 780. crews are trying to work to get as many people be routed while they figure out what caused this. there were initial reports that there was perhaps a transformer that might blown overnight, but virginia dominion says it cannot confirm whether that happens. they are confirming they're working to get people back on line.

a little construction on new york avenue could slow down. this is only headed outbound at florida avenue. getting reports that the two right lanes are closed. so please use caution. however, in bound lanes are open. so that's the good news. currenthave a look at conditions on the woodrow wilson bridge. looks like a little volume along the outer loop, but barely. both directions looking fine. but you do have lights out in alexandria along the george washington parkway, so that may slow you down. you definitely need to make sure you treat those as a four-way stop if you have to go through alexandria this morning. back with another look at your morning commute in 10 minutes. from the wtop traffic center. back to you. >> thank you.
